How Important is Self-Care for Black Men?

Men, let's be honest, what comes to mind when we say "self-care"?

 Let's guess; you probably imagined a woman enjoying a spa day wrapped in a fluffy robe or even getting a mani/Pedi with matching nail polish colors. Am I correct? Unfortunately, for men, especially men of color, "self-care" has somehow become associated with femininity. 

As a result of gender-based stigmas, you might be hesitant to engage in self-care. You may even be concerned that engaging in self-care will not be perceived as masculine. But, men, please note that taking care of yourself is not feminine! It is necessary. Especially during these trying times, you should be encouraged to take care of yourself and indulge in self-care.
